Quick actions on a pipeline deal
Open a deal's ⋯ menu (or right-click it) to mark it won or lost, set a follow-up, log a call or note, or create a job, quote or invoice from it.
Every deal on your Pipeline has a menu of shortcuts, so you can deal with it without opening it: close it as won or lost, plan your next contact, keep notes, or start the paperwork.
Before you start
The Pipeline is available on Solo Pro and up. You need at least one deal on it: click Add client on the Pipeline page, or use Add to sales pipeline on a client or a new quote.
Open the menu
- 1Open Pipeline from the left sidebar.
- 2Point at a card and click the ⋯ that appears in its top-right corner (Card actions). Or right-click the card. In the List view, use the ⋯ at the end of the row.
- 3Choose an action from the list below.
What each action does
Mark as won: moves the deal to your Won stage and asks “Want to turn … into a job or invoice now?”. Click Create a job, Create an invoice, or Not now.
Mark as lost: opens a box where you can type a Reason (optional), e.g. went with a competitor. Click Mark as lost to move it to your Lost stage.
Set follow-up: pick a Follow-up date and click Save. On that day you get a notification and the card shows “Follow-up due”. To remove it, clear the date and click Clear follow-up.
Log a call or Add note: type what was said and click Save. It's added to the client's activity timeline, so it's there when you open the client too.
Create: start a Convert to job, New quote, New invoice, Schedule appointment, Send contract, Send form or Add document, with the client already filled in.
Also in the menu: Move to stage, Email client, Call, Add task, Copy contact details, Edit deal, Open client profile and Remove from pipeline.
If something doesn't work
“Add a stage with the 'Won' outcome in settings first” (or 'Lost'): you've renamed or deleted the stages that close a deal. Click Configure stages on the Pipeline page and give one stage the Won outcome and one the Lost outcome.
“No email on file for this client” or “No phone number on file”: add the email or phone to the client's profile first.
No ⋯ on a phone or tablet: the button only shows when you point at a card with a mouse. Press and hold the card to open the same menu, or open the deal and use Actions.
