Invoicing & getting paid

Create and send your first invoiceOpen Invoices → New Invoice, pick a client, add your lines and click Send Invoice. Your client gets it by email with the PDF attached.Mark an invoice paidWhen a client pays outside the app, open the invoice and click Mark as Paid, or drag its card to the Paid column. Card and matched bank payments mark themselves.Change the VAT rate or give a discount on an invoiceAs a VAT payer, set the VAT Rate (%) under Additional Details for one invoice. There's no discount field: lower the line's price instead.Cancel an invoice or issue a credit noteCancel an invoice nobody has paid with Delete on the Invoices page. To reverse all or part of an issued invoice, go to Accounting → Credit Notes → New credit note.Chase unpaid invoices automaticallyThe app emails your client before the due date and keeps reminding them after it until they pay. Change when in Settings → Invoicing.Set up a recurring invoiceMake an invoice as usual, switch Make Recurring to Recurring and pick how often. The app then creates a new copy on schedule. Manage them under Invoices → Recurring.Change how your invoice looksOn Invoices, click Customise layout. Drag the blocks into the rows and order you want, click a block to style it, then Save.Take a deposit with an advance invoiceSet a deposit on the quote. When the client accepts, a deposit (proforma) invoice is created. When the job's done, open it and click Issue final invoice: the final invoice deducts what the client already paid.Change the details on a single invoiceOn one invoice you can pick a different bank account, change the contact details the client sees, switch the language, and choose whether the client is asked to sign. Your defaults stay as they are.Late-payment interest and the overdue bellAn overdue invoice shows the statutory late interest it has built up. Freeze it to lock the figure on a given day. Clear the red bell on the invoices board once you've chased it.

Quotes & jobs

Create and send a quoteOpen Quotes → New quote, pick a client, add your lines and click Save & send. Your client gets a link where they can accept or decline.Turn an accepted quote into an invoice or a jobWhen a client accepts online, a draft invoice is made for you. If they said yes by phone, click Mark as accepted, then Convert to invoice. Create job starts a job from the quote.Add photos to a jobAdd up to 5 photos under Job Details when you create the job. They show on the job page. On Professional and up, your team can add before and after photos when they check in as Finished.Move jobs, quotes and invoices between stagesOn the Jobs, Quotes or Invoices board, drag a card into another column to change its status. Right-click a card, or select several, to move them without dragging.Reorder, recolour or hide board columnsClick the small arrow next to Kanban, then Columns. Drag columns into a new order, turn off the ones you don't need, pick colours, and click Save.Reuse a checklist across jobsWrite the steps once in a service's Checklist (Services & Products), then add them to any job with Apply a service template… in the job's Checklist.See what a job actually made youOpen the job and scroll to Profitability. It takes what you invoiced, subtracts materials, mileage and commissions, and shows the margin. Your time is not counted as a cost.Track time on a jobClick Start Work (or Start Travel) at the top of a job and Stop Work when you're done. When you create the job's invoice, the unbilled time is added at your hourly rate. Solo and up.Hide your hourly rate on a quoteTurn off Show rates to client on the New Quote form. The client sees the time and the total for labour and travel, but not your rate per hour.Quick actions on a pipeline dealOpen a deal's ⋯ menu (or right-click it) to mark it won or lost, set a follow-up, log a call or note, or create a job, quote or invoice from it.

Switch between businessesIf your login belongs to more than one business, click your name at the top right and pick the business under Workspaces.Switch to your client accountWhen another business on JobMistr has you as its client, click your name at the top right and choose Switch to client account. Choose Switch to <your business> to come back.Invite a team memberGo to Settings → Team → Add member, enter their email, pick Admin or Member and click Send invite. They get an email link that's valid for 7 days.Change language, currency or date formatSwitch the app language with the EN/CS button in the top bar. Set your invoice currency in Settings → Invoicing, and date and number formats in Settings → Locale & format.Export your data for your accountantFor your accountant, use Accounting → Exports: pick a format such as Pohoda XML, ISDOC or CSV, set the dates and click Download. For a full copy of everything, use Settings → Data & export.Restore something you deletedDeleted records are kept for 60 days. Go to Settings → Deleted Items, find the record and choose Restore.Cancel, downgrade or get a refundEverything is in Settings → Billing & plan. In your first 14 days you can cancel with a full refund in one click. After that, cancelling or downgrading takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for.Block or report a difficult clientOpen the client, click ⋯ → Block client, write what happened and click Block client. Tick the report box if the platform admins should look at it too.
