What happens when a payment comes in.
Deposits and part-payments too
A payment matches when it's the full amount, the deposit you asked for, or whatever is still owed. A difference of up to 0.5 % still counts, so a 57 000 Kč invoice paid 150 Kč short is still found.
One match, and the paperwork follows
When a proforma is paid, the tax document for the payment is issued and recorded for you. Paid booking deposits and package orders are confirmed the same way.
Careful by design
When it isn't sure, it asks.
Two could fit? It asks you.
If more than one invoice fits a payment, nothing is matched on its own. You see the suggestions and choose.
Currencies never mix
A euro payment only ever matches a euro invoice.
Money out settles your bills
A payment you send is never counted as income. It settles the supplier bill with the same variable symbol and amount.
Bill entered late? Still matched.
Paid first and entered the bill afterwards? It finds the payment that's already there.
Written-off invoices are left alone
If a payment turns up for an invoice you wrote off, you decide what happens to it.
One list for everything else
Whatever isn't matched, including every CSV import, waits in one list with suggested matches. Match it or ignore it.
Forged emails don't get in
Payment emails are checked to be really from the bank before anything is matched.
